３学年英語　リサーチ＆プレゼンテーションコンテスト

海外語学研修は、本来ならば３年次８月に行われ、オーストラリア滞在中にひらめいた「〇〇と〇〇の間にはこういう違いがある」といった仮説について９月に調査研究を行う、というのが例年のリサーチ＆プレゼンテーションの流れです。
しかし、今年度はコロナ禍の影響で海外語学研修を８月から３月に延期したため、リサーチ＆プレゼンテーションの実施形態も大幅に変更しました。

生徒は６月に文献やインターネットなどから情報を集め仮説をたて、研究をパワーポイントにまとめ、２学期前半に予選を行い、そこで選ばれた１６名が１２月１９日（月）の本選で競いました。プレゼンテーション、司会進行ともすべて英語で行われました。

１位から３位の生徒のトピックと仮説は以下の通りです。
発表活動を繰り返すごとに、生徒のプレゼンテーション力が伸びていくのがわかります。
３月にオーストラリアのホスト校で行われる日本文化紹介のプレゼンテーション、また来年度行われるスピーチコンテストに向け、さらに力を磨いてほしいと思っています。

1st prize  
Topic: Population Distribution of Indigenous and Non-indigenous Australians
Hypothesis:  Indigenous people tend to be more concentrated in regions with a lower degree of past colonization.

2nd prize  
Topic: Differences between Australia and Japan in Gender Equality
Hypothesis:  In Japan, many people do not pay attention to gender equality, but in Australia, many people pay big attention to them and take actions.

3rd prize　
Topic: Medical Differences between Australia and Japan.
Hypotheses: 1  The quality of treatment in Japan is higher than that in Australia. 
   　　          2  The cost of medical services in Japan is lower than that in Australia. 
                   3  Medical facilities in Japan are easier to go than those in Australia.
