Outline (Full-time general education credit-based high school)
Explanation of the credit-based system at Josui High School.
The credit-based system is a learning system where students earn the credits required for graduation over three years of high school, rather than by grade level. At our school, students study a variety of elective subjects centered around the standard curriculum. They belong to a class, study common subjects, and participate in school events. From morning short homeroom to after-school club activities, they experience school life similar to that in a grade-based system.
Things that can be done because of the credit system in high school.
- Choose subjects according to one's own interests, concerns, and career aspirations.
- A wide variety of elective subjects, classes held in small groups, and a rich selection of subjects tailored to career paths.
- Unique elective subjects that are distinctive to our school, such as expression courses.
- Elective subjects that can be studied in both the second and third years, as well as mixed-age classes being offered.
