２０２４年新緑杯報告

６月１６日（日）新緑杯に参加しました。

今年度の即興ディベート大会には、今年、新しく部員となった１年生を迎え３チームが挑みました。

以下、英語部部長からの報告です。

The HPDU Spring Greenery Competition Championship is a parliamentary debate aimed at nurturing the comprehensive English skills of high school students. This year, it was held at Saitama Urawa Municipal High School.

After countless practice debates with our team members, extensive discussions on improving our performance, and receiving valuable advice from our judges, the big day finally arrived on June 16th.

In the taxi with my teammate, uncertain if we would make it on time, I had underestimated the tournament. Our opponents were formidable: Nanzan Girls’ School delivered consistently logical speeches, and Shibuya Education Academy Shibuya Senior High School presented three rebuttals and countless examples.

The Spring Greenery Competition made me reconsider my potential and how I can improve as a debater. I am grateful to the four schools for the opportunity and the lessons they taught me. I will never forget this experience and will incorporate what I have learned into my future debating skills.

パーラメンタリーディベートを通して高校生の総合的英語運用能力を伸ばす「HPDU高校生英語パーラメンタリーディベート連盟 新緑杯全国大会」今年はさいたま浦和市立高校で開催されました。

部員と数え切れないほどの部内戦を重ね、パフォーマンス向上のために相談を重ね、JET外国人英語等教育補助員から貴重なアドバイスをいただき、6月16日、ついに本番を迎えました。

 チームメイトとタクシーの中で、時間に間に合うかどうか不安だった私は、この大会を甘く見ていたました。相手は物凄く手ごわかったです。南山高校は5分程、一貫して論理的なスピーチをし、渋谷教育学園渋谷高等学校は3つ以上の反論と数え切れないほどの実例を示しましたことに感銘を受けました。

 新緑杯は、自分の可能性とディベーターとしてのレベルアップを改めて考えさせるものでした。 このような機会を与えてくれ、試合をしてくれた4校に感謝しています。この経験を決して忘れることなく、学んだことを今後のディベートに活かしていきたいと思います。
