卒業生紹介

　日本人生徒と外国人にルーツを持つ生徒と一緒に学べる国際的な環境に勉強をしたかったため、私は３年前飛鳥高校に入学しました。これをできた上で、色々なことを体験することができました。Writing やEnglish Presentationという授業で、私は英語力を磨くことができました。飛鳥は単位制のため、2年次から授業を自由に選べます。このように、飛鳥の生徒はやりたいことや興味に繋がる科目を学べます。また、飛鳥では国際的な関係を作り、多文化に触れることができます。
飛鳥高校では、課外活動に参加する機会もたくさんあります。部活やコンテスト、そしてボランティア活動に参加することによって、チームワークやパブリックスピーキングといった将来に役立つスキルを身につけることができます。様々な経験ができるため、生徒たちは飛鳥で自分を磨くことができると思います。

Asuka Senior High School encourages its students to fly to greater heights. I entered Asuka in hopes to study in a semi-international environment, where Japanese students and students with foreign roots learn together. I was able to do this and more. At Asuka, I was able to further practice my English skills through elective classes such as Writing and English Presentation. Its credit system also allows the students to dive deeper into their interests; while I took language electives, some of my classmates took math, science, and sport related classes. Most importantly, students can forge international friendships and learn more about different cultures and beliefs in Asuka.

Asuka presents great opportunities not only for academics, but also for extracurricular activities. By participating in clubs, contests, and volunteering activities, students can cultivate skills outside the classroom, such as teamwork, public speaking, and critical thinking. These skills will be valuable in the future; recent entrance exams also encourage students to write their opinion, or voice out their sentiments through interviews. Due to the rich opportunities available, I believe that aspiring students can become the best version of themselves at Asuka.

　私が第一志望の大学に合格できた1番の要因は、自分の得意な英語の配点が高い入試方式のある大学を受験したことにあると思います。高校時代、私は数学や国語、理科といった受験で必要な教科が周りの人よりも不得意で、大学受験を考え始めた時期が遅く、自分の得意な英語で勝負するしかない状況でした。
自分の英語力を伸ばす上での要素はたくさんありますが、主に英検の勉強や、高校で同じ外国人の友達との交流、洋画や洋楽などです。
受験を通して、自分の苦手を克服することだけに注力するのではなく、自分の得意を伸ばすことがとても大切だと感じました。また、高校での経験は自己成長につながるものであり、今後の人生に役立つものとなりました。
