TK Talksを開催しました　The First TK Talks of This School Year Was Held

英語部が主催するプレゼンテーションイベント TK Talks を、7月13日に開催しました。

本イベントは今年で3年目を迎えます。

今年度は部員数こそ多くありませんが、どの部員も英語部の活動に強い情熱を持ち、先輩方が築いてきた伝統を大切に受け継ぎながら、さらに工夫を加えて活動しています。

今回の TK Talks では、初の試みとして、観客参加型のディベート形式によるプレゼンテーションを行った部員もいました。

昨年度に見学した3年生 γクラスの先輩方の発表から着想を得て、英語部らしくアレンジして取り入れたものです。

そのほかにも、読書への思いを語った発表、沖縄の魅力を紹介した発表、右利き中心社会のあり方を問いかける発表など、どれも深い内容で、聞き応えのあるプレゼンテーションばかりでした。

The English Club hosted the first TK Talks presentation event of the school year on July 13.

This annual event, now in its third year, provides students with an opportunity to present on topics of personal interest in English.

Although the number of club members is small this year, each student is highly dedicated to the club’s activities.

They continue to build upon the traditions established by former members while incorporating new ideas and improvements.

This year’s TK Talks featured a new initiative: one student delivered a presentation in a debate format that encouraged audience participation.

The idea was inspired by a presentation observed last year in the Year-3 Gamma Class and was adapted to suit the English Club’s style.

Other presentations included reflections on reading, recommendations for travel in Okinawa, and a critical look at right-handed bias in society.

Each presentation demonstrated depth of thought and strong engagement with the topic.
