長野県菅平高原にて開催された「KOBELCO CUP 2026（第22回 全国高等学校合同チームラグビーフットボール大会）」に、本校5年生の生徒がU18関東ブロック代表のメンバーとして出場いたしました。

本大会は、全国の各ブロックから選抜されたトップレベルの高校生選手が集う全国大会です。

関東選抜のウィングとして試合に出場し、事実上の優勝決定戦となった近畿ブロック選抜との最終戦では、前半ラストプレーで貴重な先制トライを決めるなどフル出場の大活躍を見せました。

その結果、U18関東ブロック代表は見事に優勝を果たしました。関東勢の制覇は3大会ぶりであり、東京勢が含まれた関東選抜としては実に10年ぶりの快挙となります。

全国のトップレベルで躍動し、大舞台で結果を残した市さんの姿は、三鷹ラグビー部の部員たちにとっても最高の刺激となりました。

[Rugby Club] Keisuke Ichi Wins the National Championship at KOBELCO CUP 2026 as a U18 Kanto Representative!

Our school student, a 5th-year student at our school, participated in the KOBELCO CUP 2026 (The 22nd National High School Joint Team Rugby Football Tournament) held in Sugadaira, Nagano, as a member of the U18 Kanto Block representative team.

This prestigious tournament gathers selected top-level high school players from blocks all over Japan. Playing as an open wing, Ichi made a significant contribution to the team's success. In the deciding match against the Kinki Block, he played the entire game and scored a crucial opening try right before halftime.

Thanks to the team's outstanding performance, the U18 Kanto Block representative team claimed the Cup Championship. This marks a historic victory—the first in three tournaments for the Kanto region, and the first in ten years for a Kanto team featuring players from Tokyo.

His incredible achievement on the national stage has been a great inspiration to all the members of the Mitaka Secondary School Rugby Club. We sincerely appreciate your continuous support for our team!
