多摩工科高等学校は、全日制の工科高校です。本校には機械科・電気科・環境化学科・デュアルシステム科の4つの科があり、それぞれの分野ごとに特化した指導が特徴です。都立工科高校有数の設備・施設で行う授業はどれも質が高く、内容も充実しています。
Tama High School of Technology is a full-time high school specializing in engineering. The school has four departments: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Chemistry and Dual Systems, each of which is characterized by specialized instruction in its respective field. The content in all classes is of high quality, conducted in facilities with equipment that is among the best in metropolitan engineering high schools.

Four departments for practical learning
本校には機械科・電気科・環境化学科・デュアルシステム科の4つの科があり、それぞれ専門的な技術を学習しています。全ての科でインターンシップを行っており、企業へ伺って実際の仕事を体験する機会もあります。
The school has four departments - Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Chemistry and Dual Systems - where students learn specialized skills. All departments offer internships and opportunities to visit companies for genuine work experience

就職に強い進路指導
Career guidance for strong employment opportunities
昨年度では、卒業生の約7割は就職、約3割は進学しています。本校は企業からの求人がとても多く、卒業生数の約8倍程度の求人があることも。一次内定率も約83%と高く、多くの生徒が希望の会社に就職を決めています。
In the last year, approximately 70% of our graduates found employment and 30% went on to higher education. Our school has a very large number of job offers from companies, sometimes as much as eight times more than the number of graduates. The first offer rate is also high at approximately 83%, with many students finding employment at the company of their choice.

機械科
Department of Mechanical Engineering
工業製品の多くは機械によって作られています。機械科では、機械設計、機械工作、原動機、機械製図などで基礎知識を学び、実習では、旋盤・フライス盤・鋳造・鍛造・溶接などの基礎技術からNC制御工作機械の操作や材料・原動機実験まで、社会に出ても幅広い分野で活躍できるように、ものづくりに必要な基本技術を学習します。
Many industrial products are made by machines. In the department of Mechanical Engineering, students learn foundational knowledge in machine design, machine construction, motors and technical drawing. While in practical training, they study the technologies required for manufacturing, from basic skills such as lathes, milling machines, casting, forging and welding to the operation of CNC machines and conducting motor experiments, so that they can be proficient in a wide range of fields in society.
電気科
Department of Electrical Engineering
電車、照明、テレビ、パソコン、携帯電話など、私たちの生活に密接な機器は全て電気で動いています。電気は人類が発見したエネルギーで、現代社会を支えています。本校では、発電・送電・配電・電気工事・制御・通信・情報などの基礎知識・技術について学習します。
Trains, lighting, TVs, computers, mobile phones and other devices closely tied to our daily lives are all powered by electricity. As one of mankind’s greatest discoveries, electricity is essential in supporting modern society. In this school, students learn fundamental knowledge about the technology used in power generation, transmission, distribution, electrical engineering, control, communication and information.
環境化学科
Department of Environmental Chemistry
「地球にやさしい」をテーマに環境分析、リサイクル、バイオテクノロジーなどの実習をします。また、地球規模のさまざまな環境問題を学びます。資格の取得も推奨しており、環境化学科生徒の主な資格取得状況は、危険物取者乙種(1,2,3,4,5,6類)・東京都公害防止管理者・ECO検定・初級バイオ検定試験・電気工事士など、多くの資格を取得しています。
With the theme of sustainability and being eco-friendly, students undertake practical training in environmental analysis, recycling and biotechnology. Students also learn about various environmental issues on a global scale. Students in the department of environmental chemistry are also encouraged to acquire qualifications, including Hazardous Materials Engineer Class B (Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6), Tokyo Metropolitan Pollution Control Manager, ECO Certification, Elementary Biotechnology Certification, Electrician Certification, and many others.
デュアルシステム科
Dual Systems Department
デュアルシステム科は、普通科と機械科・電気科・環境化学科の科目を幅広く選択し、学ぶことができる科です。実際に企業で就業体験をする機会が多いことも特色です。1年生で5日間を2回、2年生で1か月間を2回、3年生で1か月を1回行います。
The Dual Systems Department allows students to select and study a wide range of subjects from the standard course and the departments of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and environmental chemistry. It is also characterized by many opportunities for actual work experience in participating companies: two five-day periods in the first year, two one-month periods in the second year and one one-month period in the third year.

学校と企業で学ぶデュアルシステム
Dual system of learning at school and in companies
デュアルシステム科に採用されている就業体験は、学校と企業両方で技術を学ぶというところから名前が付けられました。他学科でもインターンシップ等を通して企業と関わる機会はもちろんありますが、より実践的なカリキュラムがデュアルシステムです。
The work experience adopted by the dual system department is named after the fact that students learn technology both at school and in companies. Of course, other departments also have opportunities to engage with companies through internships, however the Dual Systems Department has a more practical-focused curriculum.
資格取得を推進
Promoting acquisition of qualifications
本校では授業で学んだ知識を生かし、資格取得を推奨しています。支援体制も整っており、取得した数々の資格を生かし、多くの生徒が進路決定に役立てています。7・8月には資格取得講習も行われ、フォークリフトの操縦など特殊な資格の取得もサポートしています。
The school encourages students to acquire qualifications by making use of the knowledge they have learned in class. We have a support system in place, and many students are able to use the qualifications they have acquired to help them decide on their future career paths.
工科高校ならではの文化祭
A school festival unique to an engineering high school
豊富な設備と授業で学んだ経験を生かした、工科高校ならではの文化祭が開催されています。今までの例では、鋳金キーホルダー製作や電子オルゴール作成、電子工作を利用したイライラ棒の製作など、工夫に溢れた出展を行っています。
The school holds a cultural festival that is unique to an engineering high school, making use of the equipment and valuable experience gained in the classroom. Examples from past festivals include the production of cast metal key rings, an electronic music box, a wire loop game and many other inventive displays.
活発な部活動
Lively club activities
自動車部や電子工作部など、工科高校の特徴を生かした部活動の活躍はもちろんですが、運動部においても東京都の工科高校としては初めて関東大会に出場を果たした剣道部をはじめ、多くの部活動が日々練習に励んでいます。
In addition to club activities that make the most of the unique characteristics of an engineering high school, such as the Automobile Club and the Electronic Crafts Club, many sports clubs are also practicing hard every day. One such club is the Kendo Club, which was the first engineering high school in Tokyo to participate in the Kanto Region Tournament.
