第８回PDA高校生即興型英語ディベート全国大会

  １２月２４日（土）、２５日（日）にオンラインにて開催された『第８回PDA高校生即興型英語ディベート全国大会』に、本校高校１年生チーム（小野 利紗さん、小林 空良さん、宮島 葵さん）が出場しました。

【当日の論題】

予選１：Being single is better than getting married in the modern world.

（これからは結婚するよりも、独身の方がよい 。 ）

予選２：Japan should increase defense spending.

（日本は防衛費を増額すべきである 。 ）

予選３：Online education should be introduced in junior high and high schools, and school districts should be abolished.

（中高ではオンライン教育を導入し、学区を撤廃すべきである。 ）

予選４：Students should be instructed in debate by AI rather than by teachers.

（生徒は、教員よりも AI にディベートを指導されたほうがよい。 ）

  全国８０校近くの高校が参加し、ハイレベルな討議が交わされ、本校高校１年生チームは見事ベスト１６に選ばれました。

  併せて、小野 利紗さんが個人賞であるPOI賞（Point of Information賞）を受賞しました。
