A Day of Discovery!

～フィンランド派遣メンバーが都立芦花高校の特別授業に参加してきました！～

Our Finland Team Joins a Special Class at Roka High

本校からフィンランド研修に参加する４名の生徒たちが、都立芦花高校で行われた特別授業におじゃましました。

ちょうど芦花高校には、フィンランドの高校生8名が来日中。そのうち3名は、なんと！本校の生徒たちが今年秋に現地で再会する予定の生徒たち。うれしい“再会予告編”となりました。

Four students from our school, who will be heading to Finland this Autumn, had the chance to join a special international class at Tokyo Metropolitan Roka High School.

Right now, eight Finnish high school students are visiting Roka — and guess what? Three of them are the very same students our team will meet again in Finland! It turned out to be a heartwarming “preview reunion” filled with smiles and excitement.

芦花高校の先生方とJETの先生が特別イベント授業を実施。楽しく学びながら国際交流ができる、すてきな時間でした。

The teachers at Roka High, along with their JET Programme instructor, hosted a special event-style lesson.
It was a wonderful time of learning and laughter — a perfect blend of education and international exchange!

また、生徒会の皆さんの主導で、けん玉体験や七夕の飾り付けといった日本文化を紹介する交流イベントも開催。フィンランドの高校生も大いに楽しんでくれていました。

Later on, the student council took the lead in organizing a cultural exchange event.
Finnish students got to try their hand at kendama and helped decorate for Tanabata — a traditional Japanese star festival.
They really seemed to enjoy the experience and joined in with big smiles all around!

さらに、芦花高校からフィンランド研修に参加予定の4名の生徒とも交流でき、すぐに打ち解けた様子。連絡先を交換して、すでに国境を越えた友情が芽生えていました🌍✨

Our students also had the chance to meet the four Roka High students who will be joining them on the Finland trip.
They hit it off right away — chatting, laughing, and even exchanging contact information.
You could already see the beginnings of a cross-border friendship taking root!
