アメリカから　6人の留学生がやってきます

今週の木曜日、6月19日
この日から、私たちの学校に6人の新しい仲間がやってきます。

男子2人・女子4人、1〜3年のクラスに分かれて、それぞれ約1か月間、私たちと一緒に学校生活を送ります。
そしてなんと今回は、ホームステイをしながら、日本の暮らしも体験していく予定です。

ちょっと想像してみてください。
遠く離れた国から、言葉も文化も違う場所へ、一人で飛び込む気持ちを。
胸をドキドキさせながら、どんな学校だろう、どんな友達に出会えるんだろうと、不安と期待を抱えてやってくる彼ら。

だからこそ
最初の「こんにちは」や「一緒にやろう！」という一言が、宝物みたいに心に残るはずです。

英語が上手じゃなくても、話がうまくできなくても、気持ちを伝えようとすることが、何より嬉しい。
目が合ったらにっこり笑ってみる。困っていたらそっと声をかける。
それだけで、その日の不安が、安心に変わるかもしれません。

この1か月が、留学生にとっても、私たちにとっても、「人生の中で大切な時間だった」と思えるような日々になるように。
そんな出会いのチャンスが、すぐ目の前にやってきています。

さあ、私たちから、最初の一歩を！
世界とつながるのは、案外、教室の中からかもしれません。

This Thursday, June 19
That’s the day six new friends will be joining our school.

Two boys and four girls will become part of our classes across all three grades. For about a month, they’ll share our school life — learning, laughing, and experiencing each day alongside us.
And here’s something special: they’ll also be staying with host families, getting a real taste of life in Japan.

Take a moment to imagine it.
Flying alone to a country far from home, stepping into a place where the language, the customs, even the rhythm of daily life — everything is unfamiliar.
They’re probably wondering: What will this school be like? Will I make friends? Their hearts are full of excitement and a little nervousness, too.

That’s why
A simple “Hello!” or “Want to join us?” could become a memory they carry forever.

You don’t need perfect English. You don’t need to say a lot.
What matters most is that you try to reach out.
Smile when your eyes meet. Say something if they look unsure.
Even the smallest gesture might turn their anxiety into comfort.

Let’s make this month something unforgettable — not just for them, but for us too.
This is a chance to create the kind of moments we’ll look back on and say,
“That really meant something.”

So let’s be the ones to take the first step.
You never know — the bridge to the world might just begin right here, in our classroom.
