11名の清高OBOGによる教育実習が昨日より始まりました。体育科は4週間、ほかの科目は3週間です。みなさん頑張ってください！

日々暑い日が続き、疲れが見え始めるかなと思うところですが、清校生は、今日も活発に活動しています！！
今回は中間テスト後に実施された、GPS-Academicについて紹介させて頂きます。GPA-Academicとは、「社会・職業への移行に必要な資質・能力」、「学校活動で育まれている教科に共通する汎用的な思考力」を測定するためのテストのことです。テストと言っても、準備をして臨むものではなく、現在自分が持っている思考力を活用し、論理的に物事を考えていくという少し変わったものです。写真を見て頂ければわかる通り、机に向かって解くだけでなく、事前事後の指導もあり、とても活動的なものとなりました。社会の流れも大きく変わっていく中で、論理的思考力を基に様々な形で自分の考えや意見をアウトプットしていくということは、生徒にとってとても大事な能力となっていくので、教科の授業だけでなく幅広くアンテナを拡げていって欲しいと思います。



 

本校2年生の修学旅行の目的の1つである平和学習として、講師をお招きし、講話をしていただきました。
修学旅行の事前学習として、様々なことを学ぶ貴重な機会でした。

本日昼休み中に、海外体験研修に関する生徒説明会が行われました。本日の主な内容は、渡航に際して、様々な申請書類の作成が必要であること、そしてそれぞれに提出期限があることを確認しました。
生徒も真剣に聞いている姿が印象的で、渡航に際して様々な準備が必要なことに気付かされたと思います。渡航中だけでなく、事前準備がとても大切であることを認識できる良い機会であったと感じます。
渡航中だけでなく、準備も研修の一貫ですね。頑張りましょう！！

The Long Golden Week
 
Golden Week this year was very long as it was about ten days long. This long holiday was because Emperor Akihito decided to abdicate (放棄する) his title and his eldest son, Naruhito, took over as the new emperor. This was a very important event since it hasn’t happened since the 1800s. So to celebrate it Golden Week was extended and people had many days off of work and school. When I found out that Golden Week would be long I had planned to travel. However, I had many guests visit me the weeks before Golden Week and I also found out that travel during Golden Week is very expensive. So I decided to have a relaxing Golden Week. Moreover I was able to do two things I really enjoyed by staying in Tokyo.
 
The first thing was that I went to the movies with some friends, who are also JETs. We went to see Avenger: End Game. This movie was amazing to watch since I have been follow the movie series since the first Iron-Man movie. I am also a fan of the Marvel comics so I really enjoyed seeing events from the comic being put into the movie. I also decided to buy some files that the theater was selling as souvenirs since they had pictures of my favorite character on them: Loki, Thor, and Iron-Man.
 
The other thing I did while spending Golden Week in Tokyo was going to the Tokyo Tower. I went on May 5th, which is Children’s Day in Japan, but it is also Luffy’s Birthday. Luffy is my favorite character from One Piece so I went to the Tokyo Tower to go to the One Piece Theme park to celebrate his birthday. I hadn’t visited the theme park in a very long time and was surprised that there was a new Live Show. I really enjoyed the Live Show and at the end the cast and audience sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to Luffy.
 
I enjoyed the long Golden Week and spent many days reading, watching tv, and relaxing. The United States doesn’t have any holidays that are like Japan’s Golden Week. I wish my country would have a long holiday celebration for something important. I hope everyone enjoyed it the long Golden Week since it probably won’t happen again for many, many years.

本日3、4時間目に授業公開を行いました。保護者、中学生で計54組の皆様にご来校いただけました。中間考査まであと10日間、生徒の様子はどのようにご覧いただけましたでしょうか。
第2回授業公開は11月16日(土)に行います。こちらもぜひお越しください。

本日3、4時間目に避難訓練とセーフティ教室を行いました。
最近交通事故がニュース頻繁に放映されています。通学に自転車を利用する人も多いと思います。交通ルールを守って運転するように心がけましょう。
また、本日昼休みに体育大会の色団毎の踊りの練習をしていました。今年度の体育大会は6月5日(水)に開催される予定です。皆様のご来校をお待ちしております。

午前中は全体説明会で講演させていただき（写真）、午後は個別相談会を行いました。多くの方々に足をお運びいただき、ありがとうございました。5月11日（土）には本校にて「学校見学」を実施します。（予約不要）
