A Visit From Dad
Last week my dad came to visit me here in Japan. It was his first vacation since he retired as a firefighter. It was also his first trip to Japan. He was very excited. He brought me some of my favorite American candies, sour patch kids and twix, as a small gift. My dad had some places he want to see such as the Meiji Shrine and the Skytree Tower. He also wanted to try Japanese sake.
On his first day we went to visit the Meiji Shrine. My dad was still tired from his long flight so we went to the shrine in the afternoon. He was surprised that there was so much nature in the middle of a city. I bought us some daifuku that we could eat at Yoyogi park, which was nearby.
The next day we went to the Tokyo Skytree. He enjoyed all the different shops that were there. He was shocked by how fast the elevators were. The view from the tower was beautiful, but my dad was sad that we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji. However we enjoyed coffee at the cafe and admired the view.
A few days later we traveled to Ome. My dad wanted to try real Japanese sake while he was in Japan. So we found an area in Ome where he could try different types of sake. He had a lot of fun. He also bought some sake as a souvenir for our family.
On his last day in Japan he tried to get to Shibuya on his own. I told him to meet me at the statue of Hachiko. He got lost. However, he wasn’t lost for very long and was able to find Hachiko after several minutes. He said that Shibuya reminded him of New York City. Then he bought some KitKats at Don Quixote and we had sushi for his last dinner in Japan.
My dad really enjoyed his trip to Japan. He wants to come back and visit another prefecture someday in the future.

4月27日(土) 2学年保護者会
本日、会議室にて2学年の保護者会を行いました。保護者の皆様にはお忙しい中、お集まり頂き、進路関係の話やファイナンシャルプランナーについての説明をさせて頂きました。
4月22日(月)
先週プールの水を抜き、今日は水泳部がプールの掃除をしてくれています。
最近暑くなってきたので、早くプールに入りたいですね！
4月20日（土） オーストラリア海外体験研修保護者説明会
本日海外体験研修の保護者説明会が行われました。48名の保護者の方が出席され、より具体的な渡航先の説明、今後の流れをご説明させて頂きました。
4月11日（木） オーストラリア海外体験研修説明会
今年、清瀬高校では初めて海外体験研修が行われます。行先はオーストラリア。今日は、その説明会が開かれ、1年生19名、2年生6名、計25名が参加しました。旅行会社の方からの説明を、みなさん真剣に聞いていました。
4月9日(火) 入学式
4月9日、青空と桜が迎えるなか、清瀬高校では入学式が行われ、279名が清高生となりました。
高校生活、様々なことにチャレンジし、自立した態度で主体的に学び、周りを思いやりながら成長していってください。

4月8日(月) 始業式
本日から新年度が始まります！
体育館にて始業式が行われ、校長先生や副校長先生、生活指導部、進路指導部からのお話、新しく着任された先生方の紹介、春休み中に行われた部活動の表彰などを行いました。
生徒達は春休み中、それぞれ勉強や部活動などに勤しんだことと思います。新学期も安全・健康に気を付け、充実した学校生活を送ってください！
